What You Need to Know About Conspicuity Tape for Curtain Sided Trucks

Conspicuity tape for curtain sided trucks and trailers is available as continuous or segmented tape. Both versions are easy to apply and excel in flexibility. So the contour marking tape moves with the PVC curtain when drawn back or opened.

For this flexibility, the tack of the adhesive is super strong. That is why you can also wash the curtain with a high-pressure cleaner (see information sheet) without losing a sticker (segment). Once applied on the substrate, the weatherproof conspicuity tape can be used for several years.

In some countries, the code of practise has established a colour scheme where the back part is to be marked with red marking tape, whereas the sides can be outlined with yellow or white tape.

Our conspicuity tapes for truck curtains fulfil the requirements of UN regulations ECE 104 and 48.

An E-mark indicates that the reflective tape fulfils the minimum requirements of current legislation and is thus a proof of quality and top performance.

How to Apply and Clean Conspicuity Tape for Curtain Sided Trucks

Please make sure the substrate is free from soil, oil and other dirt. You can use a special surface preparation agent for that. The curtain should not be older than 6 months.

Do not cover seams or rivets with the film and avoid application over tears, holes and repairs.

During application and at least one hour after application (bonding time), the temperature should be between 15° C and 35° C.

For cleaning curtain grade conspicuity tape, please use lukewarm water and common detergent only. Avoid any abrasive or aggressive cleaning agents as well as brushes with hard bristles since they can damage the film surface. If you want to use a high-pressure cleaner, please adhere to the care guidelines.
