What are Fluorescent Films?
Fluorescent, neon or day-glow films are films with extraordinary high luminosity in daylight. They are able to emit more visible light than they absorb by transforming UV and blue wavelengths into light with larger wavelengths such as green, yellow or red.
Fluorescent films only work while absorbing light, as soon the light source is taken away, the glow effect stops.
For they are very conspicuous, they are often used on emergency vehicles such as police cars, ambulances, fire engines, etc. in combination with reflective films to make those vehicles easily recognisable at any time of the day.
