Powerful Reflective Tape for Maritime Safety Devices

The Marine Tape FD 1403 from Orafol^® ORALITE^® is a reflective film especially designed for maritime purposes. It complies with several international standards for maritime equipment: it has been certified SOLAS Type I and II according to the International Maritime Organisation resolution (IMO) and bears the Wheelmark of the European MED (Marine Equipment Directive).

The 5mm wide tape can be stuck on items like buoys or boats thanks to its strong adhesive. It comes ready for use, so no further sealing the edges is required.

The marine tape FD 1403 excels in retroreflectivity in all weather conditions and even at wide angles. These features are essential ins maritime emergencies where air rescue forces may look for persons in distress (viewing angle from above).

The polymeric film itself has a single-layer structure, which prevents water or other substances from entering the reflective film with its microprisms. The result is superb performance in harsh environments, including continuous contact with sea water and extreme temperatures.
