When transporting more than six children in Germany, vehicles need a school bus plate to make other road users aware of potential hazards when the kids get on and off the bus. Since School busses fetch up children in the morning, it is often dark or light is dim. Therefore, the school bus sign is based on a vinyl film from Orafol^®, which provides basic reflectivity and has a conspicuous orange colour.

In addition to being resistant to corrosion and solvents, the reflective film is also very hardwearing as to impacts and scratches. It withstands all (European) weather conditions on the road.

Retroreflective Bus Signs for a Safe Way to School

Our school bus sign conforms to German regulations and needs to be attached to the front and to the rear of the vehicle. If you transport six to nine people (driver included), the sign should be 400 x 400 mm in size. For more children, the front sign must measure 400 x 400 mm and the back sign 600 x 600 mm. The bus plates sized 250 x 250 mm are only additional marking signs and cannot replace the obligatory larger signs.

Note: As per German regulations, it is mandatory to remove or cover the school bus sign if you are not transporting children to school.
