Public roads are the responsibility of local or superior authorities, who must regularly check the conditions of the roads. During these works, the inspector's car may be slower than the other vehicles on the road, or it may even come to a halt when measurements are to be taken or data to be recorded. It is recommended to alert the other road users to the potential safety hazard with a vehicle sign indicating "Straßenkontrolle" (road inspection).

Signs that meet the eye day and night

Road inspections are carried out at all times of the day and in all weathers, so it is important that the car is seen even in poor light conditions. A reflective sign mounted to the rear of the car makes the vehicle more visible and indicates the inspection works. Our sign is based on the high-performance reflective film ORALITE® from Orafol, which is classified RA1/A.

Besides its conspicuity properties, the film also excels in durability. It withstands impacts, scratches and all weather conditions. It is also resistant to solvents and corrosion. Its normal service life is approximately 7 years, if the film is used as intended.

If you use the cars in your fleet for different purposes and hence would like to switch the sign from one car to another occasionally, our two flexible sign designs are for you:

a) the reflective film on a magnetic base and
b) the reflective film on a screw-on aluminium composite plate.

If you prefer a permanent sticker for a designated road inspection car, the self-adhesive sign is the right choice.

The most flexible option is the sign on a polycarbonate plate with suction cups.
